Control concepts Music stand lights

Three concepts are now available for controlling our LED music stand lights. The LX retrofit system was developed in 2008 for the cost-effective replacement of low-voltage halogen lamps. The lights can still be operated with a classic leading edge phase control dimmer in conjunction with 24 V transformers. It is not the most modern, but at the time the most cost-effective variant for rapid conversion to LED systems (incandescent lamp ban). The introduction of the N and NT control concepts followed in 2013, offering the option of individual color temperature adjustment from 3000 K warm white to 5600 K cold white and targeted control of individual luminaires. The SPY2440 LED dimmer for Concept N and SPY600 for Concept NT are the central starting point. Both LED dimmers can be operated manually and controlled via DMX 512. Concept N works with a specially designed 24 VDC dimming technology without pulse width modulation (PWM) for LEDs with constant voltage. With the NT concept, a digital control signal is transmitted to the luminaires with the operating voltage. The advantage of NT is the individual color temperature setting and the differentiated control of individual luminaires or groups using a 2-pole plug / cables. The widely used coaxial stage plug from E&L Augsburg or our optimized stage plug X-Plug can be used for all 3 control concepts. The advantages, disadvantages, functions and possible limitations of the 3 systems can be found in the function overview.
